DIY Gifts & Great Host Presents
Elderberry Syrup & Gummies: Tis the season for colds and flu, so why not give the gift of this yummy, yet incredibly potent, Vitamin C boost! I’ve included my Homemade Elderberry recipe for both syrup and gummies (because ALL kids like to eat gummies – and adults too!) It can easily be batch-made for you and your hosts!
Homemade Granola: Check out my RECIPE HERE This is my favorite thing because YOU can control what goes in it! Plus, it’s easy to make a couple batches, put in a mason jar, top with a bow, and give it as a healthy gift!
‘Truffles’ aka Energy Bites: These are treats that you don’t have to feel bad about. They give you a good dose of healthy fats & antioxidants! I’ve got a couple variations for you to try and batch make for friends & family.
Dark Chocolate Truffles: is my go-to variation all year round!
Peppermint Truffles: Just add in 1 tsp peppermint extract & ¼ cup dark chocolate chips!
Nutella Truffles : Now you’re getting fancy!
Brownie Bites : Where are my brownie fans out there? These taste like the batter! YUM!
Sweet & Savory Nuts : Everyone loves to munch on nuts during the holidays, so why not make your own and give them as gifts or bring to your host! If you check out my holiday survival blog post, nuts are the perfect snack to have at a party – loaded with satiating healthy fats. I love to use PECANS during the Holiday!
Salt Dough Ornaments: this is a great way to use up the flour that sits in your pantry because you don’t use it (okay maybe that’s just me?). This is a fun craft for kids or adults. Need some stocking stuffers for nieces and nephews, cousins, or 3rd cousins? These cost pennies to make but will spend YEARs on someone’s Christmas tree! RECIPE HERE

My Small Business & Local Nashville Favorites
Beautycounter: A couple years ago I stumbled upon this company on a mission to get Safer Beauty products into the hands of everyone. What you don’t know you don’t know, until you do! If you have not yet heard about how far behind the beauty care regulation is in the US it’s eye opening! Just take a look at this quick video. I became an advocate shortly after hearing about this company and fell in love with this company’s mission. I joined the movement first for my kids products and slowly started changing out my own products too. If you don’t know where to start I’d love to help you, ask here!
My 5 favorite products: Sunscreen (how I found the company!), All Bright C Serum, Resurfacing Peel, Makeup in a pinch Flawless in Five and my FAVORITE anti-aging skin care regimen without harmful ingredients and it’s retinol free! Check it out here!
**If you’re like me and hate to waste anything these Spatty’s are a great stocking stuffer and gift to yourself so you don’t waste a single drop of your safer beauty! Use code CHELSEAYOUNG to save 20% off your order!

Gold & Ivy Candles: Safer Candles for you and your family! It’s important we know what we are burning, I had no idea that most candles are filled with paraffin, a petroleum waste which releases a carcinogenic soot as it burns, potentially causing respiratory issues and cancer. These candles are carefully crafted using all-natural ingredients such as soy wax, cotton wicks, and phthalate free oils! My favorite is Grey Flannel but her holiday line is amazing!
Use Code: CHELSEAYOUNG15 for 15% off of your order this holiday and know you are supporting a local Nashville, women owned business!

The MOST AMAZING Oil Free Brownie Recipe – Bring this yummy treat to your next Holiday get together!
3/4 cup smooth nut butter/ seed butter
1/4 cup + 2 tbsp maple syrup
3/4 cup unsweetened apple sauce
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
3 tbsp coconut flour
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp sea salt
1/2 cup Living Raw chocolate cut into chunks
3 tbsp whole nuts or seeds chopped
Directions: Heat oven to 350, line a 8×8 pan with parchment paper. Whisk nut butter, maple syrup, applesauce, and vanilla. Add cocoa powder, coconut flour, baking soda and salt whisk to combine making sure there are no lumps of cocoa. In a double boiler melt half of the chocolate chunks and then stir into brownie batter until incorporated. Spread into baking pan and top with nuts and rest of the chocolate. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Once brownies are cooled place in fridge for an hour so you can cut them without crumbling (I’m okay with a crumbly brownie ;))
I hope you have a wonderful Holiday Season everyone and a very Merry Christmas!
